2. Our courses

We provide practical trade training courses, including but not limited to:

  • Pro Tiler Course

  • Pro Bathroom Fitter Course

  • short trade courses

  • open day demonstrations

  • practical workshops

  • related training services

Course content, dates, times, prices, availability, tutors and course structure may vary from time to time.

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver courses as advertised, but we reserve the right to make reasonable changes where necessary for operational, safety, staffing or training reasons.

3. Course information

Before booking, you should make sure that the course is suitable for your needs, experience level, availability and personal circumstances.

Our courses are practical and may involve physical activity, tools, materials, lifting, standing for long periods, working in training bays and following health and safety procedures.

You must tell us before booking if you have any medical condition, injury, disability, learning need or other issue that may affect your ability to safely take part in the course.

We will make reasonable adjustments where possible, but we may not be able to accept or continue a booking where we reasonably believe there is a health, safety or suitability concern.

4. Course dates and attendance

Course dates and times will be confirmed before the course begins.

You are responsible for attending the course on time and for the full duration.

If you are late, absent or leave early, you may miss important training or assessment content. This may affect your ability to complete the course or receive a certificate.

We are not responsible for missed training due to your lateness, absence, travel issues, personal circumstances or failure to attend.

5. Booking and deposits

A place on a course is only reserved once we have confirmed your booking and received any required deposit or payment.

Deposits are used to secure your place and cover administration, planning, materials, staffing and loss of availability for that course place.

By paying a deposit, you are asking us to reserve a limited course place for you.

Places are limited and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

6. Course fees and payment

Course prices will be shown on our website, adverts, booking forms or course information provided to you.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the full course balance must be paid before the course start date.

We may refuse attendance if payment has not been received by the required deadline.

We may offer payment options, including:

  • payment in full

  • deposit and balance payment

  • third-party payment plan or finance provider

  • promotional or opening offer pricing

All prices, discounts and offers are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn at any time before booking.

7. Payment plans and PayItMonthly

Where available, payment plans may be provided by a third-party provider such as PayItMonthly.

Payment plans are subject to the provider’s own terms, conditions, eligibility checks and approval process.

We do not guarantee that your payment plan application will be accepted.

If your application is declined, delayed, cancelled or not completed, your course place is not confirmed unless another payment method is agreed and paid by the required deadline.

Any payment agreement between you and PayItMonthly or another provider is separate from your course booking agreement with us.

Payment plans are provided by PayItMonthly. PayItMonthly is unregulated credit. 18+, UK only. Credit subject to status. Terms and conditions apply.

8. If finance or a payment plan is declined

If you apply for finance or a payment plan and your application is declined, you may still pay for the course using another accepted payment method.

If payment is not completed by the required deadline, we may release your place to another student.

We are not responsible for any decision made by a third-party finance or payment provider.

9. Cooling-off period and cancellation rights

Where you book a course online, by phone, by email, through a form or away from our premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking.

This is sometimes known as a cooling-off period.

If you cancel within the applicable cooling-off period and the course has not started, you may be entitled to a refund.

If you ask us to begin providing services during the cooling-off period, or if the course starts during that period, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for services, administration, materials, reserved places or training already provided.

For online or distance bookings, businesses must provide certain information and cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

10. Cancellation by you

If you wish to cancel your course booking, you must tell us in writing by emailing:

info@pttc.co.uk

Your cancellation date will be the date we receive your written cancellation request.

Refunds or cancellation charges will depend on:

  • when you cancel

  • whether the cooling-off period applies

  • whether the course has started

  • whether we have incurred costs

  • whether we can reasonably fill your place

  • whether materials, staffing or administration have already been arranged

We will act reasonably when dealing with cancellations.

Cancellation charges are intended to reflect our genuine losses and costs, not to penalise you unfairly.

11. Suggested cancellation terms

Unless your legal cancellation rights apply, the following cancellation terms will normally apply:

More than 28 days before the course start date

We may offer a refund minus reasonable administration costs and any costs already incurred.

14 to 28 days before the course start date

We may retain part or all of your deposit where we have incurred costs or may not be able to fill your place.

Less than 14 days before the course start date

We may retain your deposit and may charge reasonable costs where we are unable to fill your place or have already committed to staffing, materials, administration and course preparation.

Once the course has started

No refund will normally be given once the course has started, unless required by law or agreed by us in exceptional circumstances.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

12. Course transfers

We may allow you to transfer your booking to another course date where reasonable notice is given and spaces are available.

Course transfers are not guaranteed.

A transfer request must be made in writing to:

info@pttc.co.uk

We may refuse a transfer request where:

  • the request is made too close to the course start date

  • the course is full

  • we have already incurred costs

  • the request would cause disruption to the course

  • you have already transferred before

  • payment has not been completed

We may charge a reasonable administration fee or require payment of any additional cost caused by the transfer.

13. Failure to attend

If you do not attend the course and have not cancelled or transferred your booking in advance, this will be treated as a non-attendance.

In cases of non-attendance, no refund will normally be given.

We are not responsible for non-attendance caused by travel issues, illness, personal commitments, work commitments or other circumstances outside our control.

14. Cancellation or changes by us

We may need to cancel, postpone, reschedule or change a course due to circumstances such as:

  • tutor illness or absence

  • low student numbers

  • health and safety concerns

  • building issues

  • supply or material issues

  • events outside our reasonable control

  • operational reasons

If we cancel or postpone a course, we will offer you either:

  • a transfer to another suitable course date; or

  • a refund of course fees paid for the cancelled course

We will not normally be responsible for additional costs such as travel, accommodation, loss of earnings, childcare or other expenses.

15. Student behaviour

Students must behave respectfully and professionally at all times.

We may remove a student from the course without refund where we reasonably believe their behaviour is unacceptable, unsafe or disruptive.

Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to:

  • aggression

  • threats

  • abusive language

  • harassment

  • discrimination

  • bullying

  • unsafe behaviour

  • refusal to follow instructions

  • damaging property

  • disrupting other students

  • attending under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • bringing illegal substances or weapons onto the premises

We want the training centre to be a safe, professional and respectful environment for everyone.

16. Health and safety

Health and safety instructions must be followed at all times.

Students must:

  • follow tutor instructions

  • wear required PPE

  • use tools and materials safely

  • report hazards, accidents or injuries immediately

  • keep work areas tidy

  • follow centre rules

  • act responsibly around other students

We may stop a student from taking part in an activity if we believe there is a health and safety risk.

Repeated or serious breaches of health and safety rules may result in removal from the course without refund.

17. Tools, materials and PPE

We may provide certain tools, materials and PPE for use during the course.

Students must use all tools, materials and equipment responsibly.

You may be required to bring certain items, such as suitable clothing or safety boots. Any required items will be explained before the course begins.

You may be responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, deliberate damage or failure to follow instructions.

18. Course assessments

Some courses may include practical assessments, written assessments, tutor observations or completion criteria.

To successfully complete the course, you may need to:

  • attend required training sessions

  • complete practical tasks

  • follow health and safety procedures

  • demonstrate suitable skill development

  • complete assessments where required

  • behave professionally

  • meet the required course standards

Completion is not guaranteed simply by attending.

19. Certificates

Certificates may be issued where a student has successfully completed the required course content and met the required standard.

We may refuse or delay a certificate where:

  • attendance is insufficient

  • assessments are incomplete

  • payment is outstanding

  • behaviour or safety standards have not been met

  • the student has not completed the required course elements

Unless stated otherwise, certificates are issued by or through Pro Trades Training Centre and/or relevant CPD or training bodies where applicable.

A certificate does not guarantee employment, income, trade competence in every real-world situation, or the ability to work unsupervised immediately after the course.

20. Employment, earnings and career outcomes

We may provide career guidance, practical training, trade knowledge, business advice or information about opportunities.

However, we do not guarantee:

  • employment

  • job interviews

  • income

  • business success

  • contracts

  • customers

  • work placements

  • future earnings

Any career progress depends on the individual student’s effort, ability, attitude, experience, local market conditions and other factors outside our control.

21. Open days

Open day bookings are subject to availability.

Open days may include demonstrations, course information, tutor introductions, centre tours and general advice.

Attending an open day does not guarantee a course place.

Course places are only secured when the required booking process and payment have been completed.

We may cancel, reschedule or change open day arrangements where necessary.

22. Photos, videos and marketing

We may take photos or videos during open days, training sessions or practical demonstrations for marketing, training or social media purposes.

We will seek consent where required before using identifiable images of students for marketing purposes.

If you do not want to appear in photos or videos, you must tell us before the course or open day begins.

You must not record, photograph or film other students, tutors or private training material without permission.

23. Intellectual property and course materials

All course materials, manuals, slides, documents, videos, templates, handouts and training content remain the intellectual property of Pro Trades Training Centre or our licensors.
