WHAT IS THE PRO DOORS & LININGS COURSE?
This 3-day practical carpentry course focuses on common interior second-fix carpentry tasks.
You’ll begin with measuring, marking, tool use and the construction of a timber door lining before progressing into hinge preparation, door hanging and fitting the associated ironmongery.
The final day focuses on measuring, cutting and installing skirting and architraves, including internal scribes, external mitres and more challenging angled work.

On Day 1, learners construct a simple timber lining using measured components and practise setting it level and plumb.

Learners practise hinge recessing before fitting hinges to a door, then offer up and cut the door, transfer hinge positions to the lining and hang it correctly.
